Surfers Not Street Children are a charity based in Durban, South Africa. They use surfing and mentorship to break the cycle of street children and child abuse. Our first film focused on Ntando, who is coming through the project and has developed into a professional surfer. We filmed him while he visited the UK as well as filming some of his back story in Durban. Enjoy:
“We are extremely grateful to Simon Cotter and Ruwac Films for two absolutely fantastic documentaries about our work. One is about day to day life at our organization, the other about the life of one of the beneficiaries of our work with street children in Durban, South Africa. These two beautiful edits are invaluable for sharing the journey that we are on, in the work we do. Also with supporters and those who are interested in both surfing and street children. The combination of these edits has propelled our work at a much needed time.”
Tom Hewitt MBE – Surfers Not Street Children founder
We also produced a short film capturing what they do as whole, giving potential supporters a real taste of the problems, the solution and success stories of Surfers Not Street Children:
